Hotel Ashburton's Conference Rooms

Hotel Ashburton's conference rooms are varied in size and have a great deal of flexibility. The larger rooms can be combined to make space suitable for events hosting up to 450 people.

The Valetta and Heron rooms each have their own, fully stocked bar, and the three largest rooms, Valetta, Heron and Arrowsmith, all have zoned PA systems, recessed lights with dimmer control and numerous 3-phase 230V power outlets.

Our Venues

The Heron Lounge 
The Heron is a larger room with a full bar. Suitable for medium sized conferences, seminars and product launches, the Heron has zoned PA system, dimmable recessed lights and multiple power outlets. The room has a dance floor, and can be configured in various ways, and has doors that open out onto a covered walk leading to the garden area.

The Arrowsmith Lounge 
This large room is suitable for medium sized conferences, seminars and product launches. It does not have a bar, but has a dance floor, its own zoned PA system, recessed dimmable lighting and doors that open to a covered walk leading to the garden area. There are numerous standard power outlets.

Heron and Arrowsmith Lounges
The Heron and Arrowsmith Lounges can be combined into a larger space, with fully stocked bar and dance floor, suitable for medium-sized functions.   

The Valetta Lounge
Another large space suitable for medium sized events, with full bar, zoned PA and dimmable recessed downlights. Particularly suitable for weddings and celebrations, Valetta has a small dance floor and large fully equipped and stocked bar. 

Heron, Arrowsmith and Valetta Lounges
When combined, these rooms open into a large space with two bars, opening onto the garden walkway. Able to cater for numbers upwards of 400, this is an excellent space for large events. 

The Clearwater Gardenside
This versatile space seats up to 120 people, and can be extended into the conference area to accommodate up to 450 people for dinner/dances and weddings. In fine weather, dining extends into the garden area. The Clearwater Gardenside links to the Gardenside Lounge Bar.

The Erewhon Lounge
A smaller space suitable for smaller conferences, seminars, board meetings, cocktail events and private dinners, the Erewhon will accommodate up to 20 people seated and 30 standing. The Erewhon room has no bar, but has a hatch through to the Clearwater Restaurant Bar, which can be used during events. 

The Gallery
A medium sized room for groups of up to 80, this room features local art and is suitable for small conferences, seminars, board meetings and larger private dinners.
